15 years after the Calgary Underground Film Festival (CUFF) first launched, Western Canada's biggest genre festival presents its boldest and most eclectic lineup yet.
With humble beginnings using fold-out chairs at The Venue (now called HiFi Club) attended by a few hundred fans over three days; today, CUFF is a seven-day internationally-recognized festival presenting 55 films to nearly 7,000 attendees.
This densely-packed 3 days will include live performances by DIIV and Sheer Mag, a community market showcasing members of Calgary’s burgeoning creative community, a thought-provoking and humorous art exhibition, live mural painting by acclaimed artist and illustrator Jay Howell, photography workshop, and a skate park designed to pay homage to Calgary’s skate history. The House of Vans Pop-Up in Calgary event is FREE and open to the public!
Stars of the popular award-winning CraveTV LETTERKENNY will be hitting the road for “LETTERKENNY LIVE!”, a 90-minute comedy experience, starring Jared Keeso (Wayne), Nathan Dales (Daryl), K Trevor Wilson (Dan) and Mark Forward (Coach). Beginning Feb 05, the 2018 Human Bonspiel involves teams of 4, with each team member sliding two times. Team registration will begin at 11:30 a.m. each day of the event, with the first slides scheduled for noon. Winners from each day will be invited back to compete in the finals on Monday, February 12.
The Exposure Photography Festival generates participation in photographic image-making and engages practitioners, photo professionals, and audiences in dialogue about the medium, its past, present and future.
